Facebook data deletion
This page explains how Vasthelm handles data deletion when you use Facebook Login for the client portal, or when you remove the Vasthelm app from your Facebook settings.
What we store from Facebook Login
Portal sign-in is provided by Clerk. When you choose Facebook Login, Clerk stores the Facebook-linked identity needed to authenticate you (for example an app-scoped Facebook user id and basic profile fields Clerk receives for sign-in). Vasthelm does not keep separate Facebook access tokens in our application database beyond what Clerk holds for authentication sessions.
How to delete your data
- Delete your portal account — sign in to the client portal and remove your account through your account settings (Clerk), or ask us to delete it.
- Remove the app in Facebook — open Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, remove Vasthelm. Meta then calls our data deletion callback so we can unlink or delete the associated Clerk identity on our side.
- Email support — write to hello@vasthelm.com with the email you use for the portal (and any confirmation code from Facebook or this page). We will verify your request and remove associated account data from Vasthelm systems.
What gets deleted
Deleting your portal account or completing a Facebook removal request removes or unlinks the Facebook-connected Clerk user record used for Vasthelm authentication, along with related portal profile data we control. Billing history may be retained as required for accounting and legal obligations (processed via Stripe). Service delivery records for a paid engagement may be retained per your agreement — contact us if you need those scoped separately.
